exploring creative identity – a new mentoring class

Last year, for the first time ever, TexArtAcademy organized a Mentoring Class. The interest was huge, but there were only 10 spots available.

10 happy students signed up quickly. (ps: no one on the waiting list was lucky enough to make it into class!)

A new year – a new possibility!

We are happy to announce another Mentoring Class for 2017.

26 – 29 October 2017

How would you feel knowing exactly how you want your artwork to be, feeling your creativity flow, and creating work that comes from your heart and your soul?

Have you taken lots of classes and mastered many techniques?

Do you have all the supplies you can dream of in your studio?

Perhaps you’ve taken a Master Class and produced some great work; but on returning home you slipped back into your normal routine and life just took over.

As a result your work doesn’t seem right, you’ve lost your commitment or you are just stuck.

Then you begin to procrastinate – and/or you sign up for another class.

The vicious circle continues.

And you don’t know how to change this pattern.

If this resonates with you, then it’s time to do something different, don’t you think?

This workshop is like no other workshop you have ever attended. It’s an opportunity to grow artistically: we dig into the soul of your work and bring it to the next level.

The group is small: 10 students.

And …

you’ll be one of the very fortunate students to be able to work in a place where the view is so inspiring. I’m convinced that great things in front of your eyes open your mind and creative possibilities increase.

Your mentor: Cherilyn Martin

Cherilyn has many years experience in teaching experimental textiles throughout Europe, the U.S.A. and Australia.

In her classes Cherilyn encourages students to push the boundaries of ideas, materials and techniques, and to develop a personal visual language.

She has created several courses which are tailored to the needs of experienced students at the beginning of their artistic careers. In these courses time is dedicated to personal mentoring, group interaction and to challenging individual motivation.
