I started my blog back in January 2009 on Blogger and have been blogging there for three years. It has always been my intention to merge the website and the blog, but I was not tech-savvy enough to do it. In the meantime, and after a steep learning curve, I have mastered WordPress (well, sort of…).
The new TexArtAcademy site (on WordPress) went live last year in October and I am very happy to present you now the new Marlis Egger | Textile Art website along with the new gallery and … (drum rolls please!) the integrated blog!
Not everything works the way I want it to and some minor as well as major tweaks are needed. Besides, websites and blogs are never done and evolve over time.
The old blog will stay up, but won’t be updated anymore. Please bookmark this new site (http://marlisegger.com/blog). And please kindly update if you have linked to it from your blog or website.

Willkommen im neuen Heim von textileartand…
Ich begann meinen Blog im Januar 2009 auf Blogger und habe seitdem drei Jahre lang dort gebloggt. Es war schon immer mein Wunsch, die Webseite und den Blog zusammenzufügen, aber ich hatte lange Zeit nicht genügend Kenntnisse, um das zu bewerkstelligen. Inzwischen, nach einem steilen Lernprozess, habe ich WordPress gemeistert (na ja, einigermassen…).
Die neue TexArtAcademy Webseite (auf WordPress) ging bereits im letzten Oktober online und ich freue mich nun, euch die neue Marlis Egger | Textile Art Seite mit der neuen Galerie und mit (taaa daaaah!!) dem integrierten Blog vorzustellen!
Noch läuft zwar nicht alles so, wie ich es gerne hätte. Kleinere und auch grössere Optimierungen sind nötig. Zudem sind weder Webseiten noch Blogs jemals vollendet, sondern entwickeln sich laufend.
Der alte Blog wird weiterhin auf dem Netz bleiben, jedoch nicht mehr aktualisiert werden. Deshalb bitte ich euch, die neue Adresse (http://marlisegger.com/blog) den Lesezeichen beizufügen und allfällige Links von eurem Blog auf meinen (merci!) zu aktualisieren.

You need to sign up again for email updates to the blog (sorry about this!), but not for Inside Information.
I did enter my email address (twice, oops), but get a popup that says the feed does not have email updates enabled — or something like that. Am I doing something wrong, or is that the plan to not email blog updates to my email account?
